No. Cake flour is made from softer wheat and would not be a good subsititution for general purposes.
There is a self-rising cake flour if that is what the recipe calls for. Brand was always Presto.
If you do use self-rising cake flour, then you must increase the amount of flour by 1 tablespoon.
Sorry, I misread your original question and didn't realize you're making a cake, but it is always safest to use what a recipe calls for.
