Banana Bread

This is another one of my favorite recipes.People who say they don't like banana bread LOVE this bread! It's good served plain or with softened cream cheese

2¼ C SIFTED  FLOUR
2 t.BAKING POWDER
¼ t. BAKING SODA
½ t. SALT
½ C SOFT BUTTER OR MARGARINE
1 C SUGAR
2 EGGS
¼ C CHOPPED  PECANS
1¼ t.VANILLA
2 T. MILK
1 C MASHED BANANA


SIFT DRY INGREDIENTS.

CREAM BUTTER,SUGAR AND EGGS.ADD NUTS,VANILLA AND MILK.

BLEND IN DRY INGREDIENTS AND BANANA.

POUR INTO 2 GREASED AND FLOURED   LARGE LOAF PAN.BAKE 350 DEG 45-50 MINS.


Asian Salmon

Where is everyone? I just joined today,I would think EVERYBODY would be on this page! Well,I'll start,this is one of my favorite ways to cook salmon(which is my all time favorite thing to eat) and I LOVE to eat!

  • 2 lbs  salmon fillet (1½ inches thick)
    1 cup soy sauce
    ¼ cup rice vinegar
    ¼ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
    2 tablespoons oyster sauce
    1 tablespoon fish sauce
    1 tablespoon  (dark) sesame oil
    1½ teaspoons chili paste
    ½ cup sliced scallions
    2 tablespoons minced garlic

  • Mix all ingredients together except salmon fillets.Pour mixture over salmon and let set 15 mins.Bake 12 mins, at 500 degrees or grill over a hot fire 10 mins.Let salmon sit about 10 mins.This is really good room temp or served cold
