BigOven

Attached is a new BigOvenConduit.DLL file that can be downloaded and copied over your existing "BigOvenConduit.DLL" file, which by default is installed to c:\program files\lakefront software\BigOven Palm Conduit.

We'd like one or two of you to verify that this performs as it does here in the lab before publishing:

1)  Download the DLL file to any folder on your PC.  It's quite small.  It is version 1.0.0.9 (you can verify the version by right clicking on the file and checking the properties of the file).

2)  Go to your c:\program files\lakefront software\bigoven palm conduit folder, and rename the existing BigOvenConduit.DLL file so you have a backup should you need it

3)  Copy in the new one, into that directory above, making sure it's called BigOvenConduit.DLL.

4)  You may need to restart your machine to tell Windows to use this new file (That is, if your old BigOvenConduit.DLL -- probably called version 1.0.0.8 on your PC -- was already cached in memory, only a restart will flush the old one out).

Do a hotsync as normal, and see if the behavior is as you expect, that kicked off the thread.  That is, unchecking the "clear recipes first" box should not clear the existing recipes, and checking the "clear recipes first" box should indeed delete them from your PC's staging area before publishing the newly selected ones.

The attachment is not found when I tried to download it. I went to the PDA download page, and tried installing the latest version from there, but that seems to still have version 1.0.0.8 of the DLL. 

IE seems to be preventing the download of a DLL directly, so we've included it in a zip file and edited the post.

Please see this post again, and try downloading the zip file, extracting it, and proceeding per the instructions.  Thanks for bringing this to our attention!

Hi, I am new to this programme - still trying it out. I have a palm T|X and have the problem that I can only get one receipe at a time on the Palm. When I load a new one the old one is deleted. I have cleared the 'clean out' button but it still deletes the old receipie.

Please make sure you're highlighting multiple recipes before going to Publish / To Mobile Device.  To highlight multiple recipes, use either ctrl or shift to select the recipes you'd like.  Then, go to File/Publish/ToMobile Device, and publish them.  With a Palm, you'll then need to press the HotSync button.

I have downloaded and installed the dll. Old receipies still get deleted when I sync new ones in.

Example; I have 4 receipies on the palm from a previous sync. I select another 5 receipes, clear the 'delete old receipes' button and sync. The orginal 4 receipes are deleted, why?

Memory is no problem - I have over 1gb free on the T|X.

 I missed the point about shuting the PC down completly. I only closed and restarted Big Oven.

 Now I will buy a licence!
