Two things I would like to see is...

Being able to search by appliance. Maybe in tags or something. I would like to find food processor recipes. I know people in the bread machine group were wanting their recipes separated out, too. Also perhaps some advanced search procedures, so that if I put in tortillas, I can let it know I want to make tortillas, not use them in a recipe.

I would also like for my Try soon to show up on the website. Or am I doing it wrong?

Another thing I would like to see is the recipes rated as to difficulty. Most other recipe sites have this feature.

And hyperlinks. On the web and in the database if possible. One recipe I was looking at referred to another recipe by number. How do you search for that? I'd love to have a clickable link.

Your "Try Soon" list is on the website, www.bigoven.com.  After you log in, look on the menu bar of the website.  In the left hand side, it'll show you how many recipes you have on your Try Soon list.

To search for recipes with "food processor" in them, the best way to start is to type "food processor" into the find box.  (You might also want to search on "Cuisinart".  Or, from the desktop software, click "More >>" to bring up the advanced find dialog, and you can search for any recipes that have been tagged "food processor".

From within the software, you can simply enter the recipe ID # in the Find box.  It's also on the list of things we'll be adding to the site.  But in the meantime, you can always jump to a recipe of the form 1234 by the URL of the form http://www.bigoven.com/recipe1234  -- in other words, put www.bigoven.com/recipe in front of the number.

Thanks for these suggestions, and welcome aboard!

On the hyperlinks suggestion, see our "RecipeLinks" feature, described here:

I tried to find this and cannot - I have to assume that it is only available on the web - I would like to use it in my own recipe box where I keep things that go together. It really looks ideal but how do I do it ...from - dummy
