I do not know how to scan a picture and add it to my recipe in my recipe box. Could someone explain it to me.

Simply scan the image using your favorite scanning or image editing software, saving it as a .JPG file anywhere on your PC. Then, from within BigOven, visit the recipe you'd like to add the photo to, click on the "Notes/Edit" tab, and find the file.
