This a very easy and tasty spaghetti sauce that you can make right in your crockpot. Start in the morning, and let it cook for you all day.
In a skillet cook sausage, ground beef, onion and garlic until meat is brown and onion is tender; drain off fat.
Meanwhile, ina 3 1/2- to 4- quart slow cooker, combine undrained tomatoes, tomato sauce, mushrooms, green sweet pepper, tapioca, bay leaf, Italian seasoning, black pepper, and salt. Stir in meat mixture.
Cover; cook on low-heat setting for 8 to 10 hours or on high-heat setting for 4 to 5 hours. Discard bay leaf. Serve over hot cooked spaghetti.
