That is how long I have had my original starter. We also love biscuits, rolls, pancakes, and the list goes on and on.I am always looking for new recipes using sourdough. My kids are all grown now, but my oldest son's wife has a starter which I gave her from mine, and she makes bread. My next son also has one I gave him, and he makes 'taco twist' bread. Its the only one he makes, but he keeps that starter going and healthy.I make some desserts with my starter also. I am glad to find a group on just sourdough!

Tell me about making no-knead bread.http://www.bigoven.com/groups.aspxThere are a few recipes on Bigoven on no-knead bread. Just do a search on  it and you should come up with a few recipes. The directions are pretty self-explanatory.

No-knead bread needs quite a few hours to rise(10-12 hrs) or an overnight rise. You basically just mix the ingredients( you don't need to knead), cover and let rise. You bake the loaf in a preheated cast iron with lid. You keep the lid on for the majority of the baking time and remove it the last 20 minutes or so. It is a crusty kind of bread. I have a recipe called almost no-knead bread. Check it out if you like. Hope that helps ~ellie36

I am new herehttp://www.bigoven.com/groups.aspxHello all, I am new here and as I am reading these posts I do not see answers for any of the questions, am I missing something? Also, I do not see where there are recent activity. This program (site) seems like I hit a gold mind but if it isn't an active site then that woud be a shame. Thank you in advance!

Panasonic Bread Bakery Model SD-BT51Phttp://www.bigoven.com/groups.aspxHi! Someone gave me one of these machines, without its instruction book. I can't seem to find a downloadable one, which wouldn't worry me too much, as I could just find other recipes. However, without knowing its capacities and other specs, there doesn't seem to be much I can do with it. Can anyone help me out?

Thanks!
