About me

I have always enjoyed tinkering around in the kitchen, trying new recipes, changing them up a bit, creating recipes on the fly with what I have in the pantry.  I just cannot get enough of new recipes to try or cuisines to experiment with.  I lived in London years ago and was fascinated by the huge array of cuisines that were available to me.  It was there that I probably really developed my cooking addiction!

When I get free time and some extra money here and there, I usually jump at the chance to take cooking classes at Viking.  I have taken some in Mexico, New Orleans, California, Missouri and Tennessee.

My Favorite Foods

I especially enjoy Italian, Mexican, Cuban, Spanish and Asian cuisines.  I also enjoy anything with chocolate, of course.

OMG Michelle! You've done pretty well with this site! I'm super excited to try some of these recipes!!! I have an awesome recipe for pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and will post soon!

Thanks so much for the medal...I am glad you like the crepes. I enjoyed reading your profile. I, too, love to cook with things that I have around the house. It makes it more challenging and different all the time.

Hi, regarding your Cuban-style Rice, recipe no. 174911. Do you add the garlic whole, or chopped? If the garlic is whole, do you remove it prior to serving the rice? Thank you.
