About me

Hello there! My name is Lori. My passion is I love to cook!I also like to ski, read, walk my dog and many other things. I currently work at COBS Bread here in Kamloops. I do all the decorating and merchandising as well as customer service in the bakery. But do not want to be there forever. I have a couple of dreams of my own which include either opening a bed and breakfast or having some type of delivery dinners for those who don't have time to make dinner or lunch themselves but still want the health side of eating food. Everyone I have come into contact that has tried my cooking keep saying that I should start something like that because they have enjoyed my cooking. I have won two contests  through our local paper at christmas. One year first place for Kung Pao Shrimp and the following year, third place for my crab and cream cheese phyllo triangles. Which all earned me a place in the paper every year with my recipes wether I won or not. I have also catered at least one staff christmas party which earned me alot of people saying "you should cook for a living". So we'll see what happens.

My Favorite Foods

Some of my favorite foods involve spicy recipes. I love cajun cooking  and  mexican.  But in general I love all foods for the most part!! I do like to bake and from time to time have made some pretty involved desserts. My favorite cookie I have made are what the americans call whoopie pies, but this recipe reminds me of the old favorite "ding dongs!!" I call them loridongs.
