Air Fryer Pasta Chips Use your air fryer to make irresistible pasta chips. They are crispy, flavorful, and perfect for snacking or entertaining. Prep Time 10 minutes Cook Time 10 minutes Total Time 20 minutes Servings (Adjustable): 2 Calories: 193kcal Ingredients 1 cup uncooked farfalle also known as bow tie and butterfly pasta ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese divided, store-bought bottle ¼ teaspoon garlic powder ¼ teaspoon onion powder ¼ teaspoon dried basil ¼ teaspoon smoked sweet paprika ground black pepper to taste kosher salt optional, to taste 1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil Instructions Pre-heat Air Fryer at 370F (188C). Set at 10 minutes. Boil farfalle - bow tie pasta according to package directions, until al dente. Drain. Transfer to a large bowl. In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked sweet paprika. Drizzle cooked farfalle - bow tie pasta with olive oil. Gently toss. Sprinkle cooked farfalle - bow tie pasta with ground black pepper, Parmesan cheese, dried basil, and the garlic mixture. Gently toss until well-coated. Transfer seasoned farfalle - bow tie pasta onto Air Fryer tray. Do not overcrowd. Create some space in between and don’t overlap. Slowly insert tray into the middle cooking chamber, near the rotisserie catch. Turn food half-way through. No need to wait for the “turn food” reminder provided by the Air Fryer. Remove Air Fryer tray. Transfer pasta chips to a bowl or a small plate. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese and serve with your favorite dipping sauce. Notes This Air Fryer recipe uses an Instant Vortex Plus Air Fryer Oven. Not all Air Fryers cook the same way. It’s best to keep watch during your initial tests after purchasing. TIPS: If you do not close the door while turning the pasta chips, the Air Fryer temperate might change. It’s best to close the door and manually adjust the timer as needed. Place pasta in a single later with some space in between. Use dried or slightly undercooked pasta for better results. The texture of the pasta plays a crucial role in achieving the perfect crunchiness of pasta chips. Using dried or slightly undercooked pasta ensures it doesn't become too soft during cooking. Ensure the pasta is well-coated with oil before cooking. Coating the pasta evenly with oil helps in enhancing its flavor and aids in achieving a crispy texture. Make sure to toss the pasta thoroughly with oil before baking or air frying.
