Ingredients

3 cups Flour

1/2 cup Sugar

1 tablespoon Baking Powder

1 12-oz can Beer


Directions

Mix first three ingredients together. Add beer. Pour into loaf pan. Bake at 350F for 50 minutes.

This simple recipe is my go-to for beer bread. I've used it for years, but forgot to post a review. This recipe is IT. Experiment with different beer for different flavors of bread. Budweiser makes airy white bread. Leinenkugel's Honey Wheat makes heartier, darker bread with a hint of blueberry. A dark beer makes a dark bread with body. I like Duvel's rich white bread. Would like to try this recipe with many different beers. So far, every result has been fabulous. Also I am disabled and can't knead bread. This is just a few firm stirs, no kneading needed. Love it!

Love this recipe. To prevent the bread from being to dense, always sift the flour.

Yum!! I used our local Glenwood Brewing Company Raspberry Wheat Ale (Glenwood Springs, CO), some wheat flour, 1/4 cup sugar, and added black pepper and garlic salt. Delish. Thanks for sharing the recipe.
