Category: Breakfast

Cuisine: American

Ready in 30 minutes

Ingredients

2 tb Margarine

Maple syrup

1/2 c Cream of Wheat

1/3 c carrots Shredded

2 c Water

2 tb green onion Minced

4 sl Bacon diced

Directions

In large saucepan, over high heat, heat water to a boil; slowly sprinkle in cereal. Cook and stir until thickened, about 1-3 minutes; remove from heat. In small skillet, cook bacon, carrot and green onion in 1 tsp margarine until tender. Stir into cereal mixture. Spread into greased and foil-lined 8x8x2-inch pan. Chill until firm, about 30 minutes. Lift up foil to remove from pan. Cut into 4 (4-inch) squares; then cut squares diagonally in half to form triangles. In large skillet, over medium-high heat, cook triangles in remaining margarine until crisp and golden on each side, about 5 minutes. Serve immediately with syrup, if desired.
