Custard Pie

Ingredients

9 inch pie crust

4 Eggs slightly beaten

1/2 cup Sugar

1/4 tsp Salt

1/2 tsp vanilla

1/8 tsp almond extract

2 1/2 cups milk scalded

1 sprinkle nutmeg


Directions

Chill pie shell while making filling. Blend egg, sugar, salt, vanilla, and almond extract. Gradually stir in scalded milk. Pour into pie shell. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake at 400 degrees for 25-30 minutes, or until knife inserted halfway in center comes out clean. Cool on rack for 15-30 minutes, then chill in refrigerator.
