Ingredients

12 Figs fresh, firm, ripe, trimmed and halved lengthwise

3 tablespoon Sugar turbinado, sugar in the raw, or packed light brown sugar

1 pint Vanilla ice cream

1 tablespoon Balsamic vinegar preferably aged 10 years or more


Directions

Preheat broiler Arrange figs, cut side up on shallow baking pan. Sprinkle sugar evenly and broil 2-3 inches from heat until most of sugar is melted and deep golden, 3-5 min. Immediately serve over ice cream drizzled with vinegar Pair w late harvest gewurztraminer
