This brings back childhood memories of Friday night family meals, at Fehn's Restaurant on the river, growing up in Chattanooga, TN. This is The Best pie in the history of pies, in my honest opinion. :D Thank you for posting!

This was served for years at the original Fehn's Restaurant on the Tennessee River in downtown Chattanooga, TN. This is my family's favorite dessert and so easy to make. The son of the Fehn's Restaurant would not share the recipe so I am so happy to find it here. Wish I could find their recipe for Choo-Choo Chickren. Dick Clark restaurants had a receipts similar to Fehn's. If anyone has the Fehn's fried chicken recipe, would love to have it.

I enjoyed this pie at Fehn's Restaurant in Dayton, Tn and HAD to have the recipe. I was so happy to fineit here. The recipe turned out close to what I remembered, except that I think there were more pecans and less dates in it. At any rate it was easy to make and very close to the experience of the original!
