Five Hour Stew

Hearty meal. Great with sour dough bread.

Ingredients

1 lb. boneless chuck

1 lb. canned tomatoes

1 1/2 pound pkg frozen stew veggies

1 tablespoon sugar

3 tablespoons quick tapioca

5 ounces Canned sliced water chestnuts

1 tablespoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1/4 cup red wine

1 pinch bay leaves

1 pinch garlic

1 pinch oregano

1 pinch parsley


Directions

CUT MEAT INTO 1 1/2 INCH CUBES. PLACE MEAT INTO A CASSEROLE. MIX ALL INGREDIENTS EXCEPT VEGGIES AND POUR OVER MEAT. POUR FROZEN VEGGIES OVER MEAT. COVER TIGHTLY AND COOK @ 250 DEGREES FOR 5 HOURS. DO NOT STIR!!
