French Bread Mexi-Melt

Ingredients

1 lb Ground beef

1 Loaf of French Bread, split

1 pk Taco seasoning

2 Onions, slice

1 cn Tomato sauce

2 Tomatoes, slice

8 sl American Cheese, halved


Directions

Brown beef, add tomato sauce, and taco seasoning. Simmer 5 to 20 min. Spread mixture on bread. Top with layer of sliced tomatos and cheese. Bake at 375 for 8 ~ 12 min. until cheese melts. What size can of tomato sauce?

My family liked this. I did alter it a little using Sloppy Joe seasoning instead of taco as that is what I had on hand. I baked it for 8 minutes and then broiled it to make it a little crispy. Good way to use a loaf of French bread.
