Fresh Tomato Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients

1 ts Dry mustard

1 ts Chili powder

5 sm Tomatoes; peeled and chopped

1/2 c Dark corn syrup

2 Garlic minced

2 tb Butter or Margarine Melted

2 ts Salt

1 c Coarsely chopped onion

2 tb Worcestershire Sauce

2 tb Red wine vinegar


Directions

Saute onion and garlic in butter in a medium saucepan until tender. Stir in tomatoes and next 5 ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer sauce, uncovered, 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in corn syrup, and simmer, uncovered, an additional 10 minutes. Use sauce for basting, or serve with beef or ribs.
