Pop popcorn and place in roaster.
Cook butter, brown sugar, Karo syrup (or maple syrup) and salt.
Stir to boiling.
Boil without stirring for 5 minutes.
Stir in baking soda and vanilla.
Pour mixture over popcorn and stir.
Bake @ 250 for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
Pour out of roaster onto jelly roll pans to cool.
NOTE: Sub pure maple syrup for karo syrup . Be careful not to boil too long.
