Instant Pot Pear Sauce

Excellent way to use up some "cooking" pears from late summer here in the south!

Ingredients

8-10 each Bartlett Pears or 6 large cooking pears

1/4 cups Water

2 teaspoons Fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon Cinnamon ground

1/2 teaspoon Ground Ginger

1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract


Directions

Peel, core and cut pears into 1 inch chunks. With cooking pears, you can cut some smaller chunks too. Combine and stir in the Instant Pot. Seal and set to pressure cook for 5 min. Natural Pressure Release for 10 minutes and then quick release the remaining pressure. May mash or use an immersion blender, but not needed. Just stir. Good warm or cold. 12 minutes to pressure/ 5 at pressure/ 10 NPR
