Italian style cabbage soup

Simple tasty soup that kids love. Add crusty bread and cheese for a delicious meal.

Ingredients

1 small finely chopped

2 cloves minced

to taste

1 teaspoon

1 tablespoon (less if dried parley is used)

2 cups

5 cups

2 cups shredded

1 cup shredded

1 pound fresh or frozen

6 tablespoons grated


Directions

Combine first 8 ingredients in a large soup kettle. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to simmer. Add ravioli, being careful to separate ravioli from one another. Simmer, uncovered, while stirring gently for 10 to 12 minutes or until ravioli is tender. Serve hot, sprinkling parmesan cheese over individual servings. Note: can substitute cauliflower for cabbage in a pinch.
