Naked Gyoza

Asian pork dumplings without the wrapper. Delicious wrapped in lettuce or dipped in the spicy sauce (recipe included).

Ingredients

1 pound ground

1 medium Pepper, Jalapeno seeded and minced

1 tablespoon minced

1 tablespoon minced

4 finely chopped

1/2 small head shredded

2 tablespoons

2 tablespoons

Directions

Combine pork through sesame oil in a large bowl and mix with hands. Form small meatballs or 1" log-shaped rolls. Spray Pam in heated skillet and pan fry until cooked through, a couple of minutes on each side. Combine sauce ingredients. May be eaten naked, and are also delicious wrapped in lettuce.

I liked this especially because you kicked it up a bit, I used Serano peppers, and didn't remove the seeds, I use some plastic devices I got a few years ago to cut the dough, and form the gyoza itself, their wonderful, they were popular a while back, they used them to make something similar to a turnover or hotpocket, I have seen some recently in second hand stores, anyway what a time saver for making these gyozas, and you can make different sizes, what a deal.
