Not So Basic "Summer" Fruit Salad

The description of "summer" is so that I remember not to put anything dairy or might otherwise spoil if left in the sunlight. That said, I think a lovely addition of fried goat cheese might really add some complexity and nuance -- so this is kinda a work in progress benchmark for me to refine. Let me know what you think!

Ingredients

1 pint Blueberries fresh

1 pint Strawberries fresh, cored and sliced

1 pint Raspberries fresh

1 pint Grapes seedless, cut in halves

1 pint Watermelon cut or balled into bite-sized pieces

2 Peaches fresh, pitted and sliced

2 Kiwi fresh, peeled and sliced

2 tablespoons Fresh mint chiffonade

2 tablespoons Fresh basil chiffonade

2 pinches Coarse Salt (sea salt)

4 tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar Flavored, high-quality

1/2 cup Pecans chopped, toasted


Directions

Wash and prepare all the fruits (except some Kiwi slices) and place in a large bowl. Mix additions (except pecans) and pour evenly across fruit. Toss fruit lightly to mix in flavorings Lay decorative (and delicious) kiwi slices spread decoratively across the top Sprinkle with toasted pecans
