Old Country Macaroni and Cheese

Ingredients

1 pound small elbow macaroni

26 ounces water

10 ounces cheddar cheese grated

10 ounces jack cheese grated

1/2 ounce flour

2 each Eggs

2 ounces butter

6 ounces milk

1 dash egg shade (coloring)

1/4 teaspoon white pepper

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 tablespoon salt (for boiling mac)


Directions

Bring water to a boil. Add macaroni and 1/4 tbsp. salt. Stir and cook until almost tender. DO NOT DRAIN WATER! Add all of the butter and 1/2 of each kind of cheese. While the butter & cheese are melting, in a bowl mix milk, flour, beaten eggs, remaining salt, pepper, garlic powder, and egg shade(food coloring, optional). Swirl into the macaroni pot and cook over a low heat until slightly thickened. Pour contents into a baking dish and cover with remaining grated cheeses. Bake in a preheated oven @ 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes before serving.
