0.25 cup olive oil
2 cups red wine vinegar
1 cup Water
0.25 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon whole mustard seeds
2 cloves garlic peeled and thinly sliced
1 head red cabbage thinly shredded
Salt and freshly ground pepper
Personally I do not like cabbage, so would not make it again, only made it for my wife since she loves cabbage. Also makes a bit too much for the 2 of us for 1 meal.
darrentThis is NOT sauerkraut. Sauerkraut is by definition fermented, not cooked. It takes weeks to make, and is much, much better than this cooked crap. Better for you, too.
