Shrimp Etouffee - Granna's Way

Ingredients

0.25 cup butter 1/2 stick

0.125 cup Flour

1 large Onion chopped

0.25 cup red bell pepper chopped

0.25 cup Green bell pepper chopped

0.25 cup yellow bell pepper chopped

4 cloves Garlic chopped

1 bunch green onions chopped

1 medium tomato chopped

1 can ro tel mild

1 8-oz can tomato sauce

1 cup Water

1 pound shrimp deveined

Tony''s Seasoning to taste


Directions

Melt butter in large skillet. Saute onion, bell peppers & garlic. Add flour and stir until flour begins to brown. Add chopped tomato and green onions, continuing stirring until well mixed. Add rotel, tomato sauce and water. Stir until well mixed and when mixture begins to bubble, add shrimp. Cook on medium heat 10 to 15 minutes, until shrimp are fully cooked. Serve over hot buttered rice.
