Skillet Braised Brussel Sprouts

Ingredients

4 slices chopped fine

4 ounces coarsely chopped

1 pound 12 oz after trimming

1/2 cup

1/2 teaspoon

1 tablespoon

1 tablespoon


Directions

Prepare brussel sprouts by trimming. Cut in half through stem. In 12 in skillet, cook bacon and onion over medium low until bacon crisp and onions brown, about 10 minutes. Remove from skillet and drain. Add brussel sprouts, water, and salt to same skillet. Over medium heat, cover and simmer brussel sprouts until bright green, about 5-6 minutes. Uncover and cook until liquid has evaporated and brussel sprouts tender, about 3 minutes. Turn off heat and stir in bacon, butter, and vinegar. Season to taste.
