Slow Cooker Stuffed Pepper Soup

Ingredients

1 pound Ground turkey

1 cup Onion chopped

1 teaspoon Garlic minced

28 ounces Tomatoes canned, diced tomatoes with juice

6 ounces Tomato paste canned

4 cups Low sodium chicken broth

3 cups Bell pepper chopped

2/3 cups Rice uncooked (white or brown)

2 tablespoons Brown sugar packed

1 teaspoon Dried basil

1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon ground

Black pepper to taste


Directions

In a large skillet, cook turkey, onion, and garlic over medium heat until browned. Drain juices and add to slow cooker. Add remaining ingredients and stir to mix. Cook on low for 8-9 hours. Add water to thin if necessary. Serving size 2-cups.
