Spiced Pear and Berry Crumble

Ingredients

1 C All-purpose Flour

2/3 C Old-fashioned Oats

1/2 C Light Brown Sugar

1/2 C Walnuts Chopped

1/4 t Salt Plus a pinch

10 T Butter Divided and cut up and cold

1/2 t Ground Cinnamon

1/4 t Ground Allspice

2 Pounds Pears Peeled, cored and chopped

1/2 C Sugar

2 C Frozen Mixed Berries

3 T Cornstarch

1/4 C Amaretto or Almond Liqueur


Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In medium bowl, combine Flour, Oats, Brown Sugar, Walnuts and 1/4 t Salt. With fingers, rub 6 T Butter into mixture; squeeze to form large clumps. Place in freezer In an oven-safe 10" skillet, heat remaining 4 T Butter on medium heat. For 6 minutes or until browned and fragrant. Swirling often Add Cinnamon and Allspice; cook 1 minute, stirring. Add Pears, Granulated Sugar and a pinch of Salt; Cook 5 minutes, stirring often. Remove from heat. Stir in Berries, Cornstarch and Amaretto Sprinkle on the Crumb topping all over Pear Mixture. Bake for 25 minutes or until topping has browned and pears are tender. Serve warm or at room temperature
