Stromboli Dough

Makes enough dough for 2 large Stromboli's. All that is required is some filling!

Ingredients

1 cup Water warm

2 1/4 teaspoon Quick-rise active dry yeast 1 packet

1 tablespoon Sugar

2 teaspoon Salt

2 tablespoon Extra virgin olive oil

3 cups Flour (Bread Flour +/- 1/2 c)

1 each Egg yolk


Directions

Add Yeast, Warm Water, Sugar, & Salt into a large mixing bowl. Let foam & bubble for 10 minutes. Add EVOO and 2 1/2 cups flour. Let dough work and if too sticky add remaining 1/2 cup of flour. Let dough work on dough hook for 8 minutes. Then place the dough in an oiled bowl and cover. Let rise 1 1/2 - 2 Hours. Split dough into half. Roll into shape of Stromboli & flatten. Fill dough with fillings and then pinch closed on one side. Whisk 1 egg yolk and brush on top of each Stromboli. Cut slices in the dough for venting. Cook in oven at 450 for 10-12 minutes.
