Stuffed burgers

Ingredients

2 pounds ground beef lean

1/2 cup onion chopped

1/4 cup Ketchup

2 cloves garlic pressed

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper ground

6 slices cheese any kind

4 strips bacon cooked, drained, crumbled

6 buns


Directions

Crumble ground beef into bowl. Add onion, ketchup, garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently. Form mixture into 12 round patties, about 1/4 inch thick. Fold cheese slices into quarters and placee on half of the patties. Top with bacon and remaining patties. Seal well, forming 6 stuffed burgers. Grill covered 11-14 minutes for medium doneness or until meat is no longer pink, turning once. Meanwhile, place bun halves, cut side down on grill for 30-60 seconds until buns are lightly toasted. Place burgers on buns. Optional toppings: lettuce, onion, tomato, pickles
