Suggest a better descriptionPreheat oven to 350. Lightly roast walnut on a skillet until fragrant, continuously stirring so they don't burn. Coarsely chop, then let cool to room temperature. In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Add bananas and mash until the consistency of chunky applesauce. Add to eggs, then beat and mix until blended. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda and salt, then add to the batter. Add vanilla extract, chopped walnuts, and raisins. Mix well. Pour into prepared loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. Let banana bread rest and cool for 10 minutes before serving.
