I make this in fresh and dehydrated versions
For fresh camp meal, I pre-cook the ground beef and pre rinse the beans. I add the veg with beef and beans to a container or vacuum seal then freeze for transportation. The cheese mix and spices get ziplocked together and another ziplock for the rice.
- Heat up meat/bean/veg in a pan
- make rice - equal amounts of water to minute rice
- add rice and cheese/milk and spices.
- salt and pepper as needed and DONE
For dehydrated
- combine all ingredients except cheese, milk, and spice.
- soak for 5 minutes
- bring to light boil and cook for one more minute
- remove from heat and stir in remaining... let stand for 10 mins and enjoy
After a day outdoors, I would expand the single dehydrated meal a bit as I was left wanting more.
