This warm, cheesy butternut squash dish is a simple, delicious side to any holiday dinner!
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Farenheit. To begin, cut off the skin of the butternut squash. Dice squash. Grease an 8x8 glass pan. Add diced squash to pan. Stir in salt and pepper. Add butter. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove and add layer of cheese on top. Bake another 15 minutes, or until cheese is thoroughly melted and your squash is soft. Enjoy!
This dish is supposed to be a little spicy, but the squash makes it a little sweet too. When you take it out of the oven the first time, before you add the cheese, test taste a piece of squash to see if you need to add any more salt or pepper. Keep an eye on it!
