Flap jacks
Put margarine sugar and syrup into a saucepan and stir over a low heat until melted. Add the rolled oats and mix well.
Brush a shallow tin (20 x 30 cm or 8 x 12 in) with the cooking oil and spread the mixture into the tin.
Smooth the top with a knife
Bake in the centre of the oven at 180 degrees for 20 minutes
Cool for 5 minutes then cut into 24 bars. Allow to get cold before serving
To freeze. Pack in a rigid container with foil between each layer, cover and freeze. To serve thaw t room temperature.
