A recipe I learned from the A&S crowd I hung out with occasionally in college.
Cook bacon and save the grease
Boil green beans in beef broth
Add french onion soup mix to beans
Add tablespoon of bacon grease
Chop cooled bacon
Add bacon to green beans
Boil together until green beans are tender, minimum 10 minutes
Serve hot
