Old fashioned chocolate cake with fudge icing
Stir together sugar and flour. In saucepan, mix 1 c. butter, 4 Tbsp. cocoa, and water. Bring to a rapid boil and pour over dry ingredients. Stir well and add buttermilk, eggs, soda, and vanilla. Mix well and pour into greased sheath pan, 15 "x 11"x1". Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until cake springs back when tested. Start icing 5 minutes before you take the cake out. Mix in saucepan, 1/2 c. butter, 4 Tbsp. cocoa, and milk. Bring to a boil. Stir in powdered sugar and pecans. Pour over hot cake after removing from oven.
