I got this recipe in a cooking class at UAB. This have a rich dark chocolate flavor. The better the chocolate, the better the brownie.
Melt chocolate with the butter over hot water. Cool to lukewarm. Mix together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the sugar, eggs and then the flour mix to the chocolate. Mix until well incorporated. Stir in the nuts. Bake in an 8 inch square pan, for 30-35 minutes at 350 degrees, which has been lined with greased and floured parchment. Loosen the sides with a small metal spatula and unmold onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Reinvert on another sheet. When cool use a serrated knife to cut into squares. Wrap individually to store.
