Makes a wonderful variation on the standard pie crust. Really compliments the classic pumpkin pie filling.
In a small bowl, whisk together egg, molasses, and vanilla till blended. Set aside.
In food processor, combine the flour, sugar and salt. Process until well blended, about 10 seconds. Scatter the butter over the flour mixture and pulse until the texture resembles cornmeal. With the motor running, pour the egg mixture through the feed tube and process until a soft dough forms.
Turn the dough out onto a clean work surface and press together until it is smooth and holds together. Transfer the dough to pie pan. Press the dough evenly over the bottom and sides of the pan.
Pour in pie filling and bake per directions for filling.
