Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
In an extra large bowl, stir together all the chips, Cheez-Its, pretzels, and nuts.
In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, ranch seasoning, and cayenne (optional).
Slowly drizzle the butter mixture over the contents of the larger bowl, constantly whisking the butter to keep the ranch seasoning incorporated into the drizzling (it tends to separate from the butter). Make sure everything is evenly coated.
Sprinkle with a bit of the parmesan and stir. Add more parmesan and stir again. Continue until everything is nicely coated.
Spread the mixture onto one or two large baking sheets. Bake 15-20 minutes, stirring at least once or twice during baking. Make sure it doesn't burn (some ingredients tend to get darker before others).
When mixture is cool, store in airtight container for up to 7 days.
