French toast with rasberry jam maple syrup - and idea from Real Simple Magazine. For a seasonally astounding variation, replace bread slices with panettone (a traditional Italian holiday dessert bread you can find at Whole Foods Market during the Christmas season only). My husband was absolutely wild for this and asked if I could prepare it every day!
1. Melt butter in frying pan.
2. Whisk eggs in bowl.
3. Soak bread slices in eggs.
4. Pan fry each slice til golden brown on each side, turning once.
5. Sprinkle with confectioner's sugar.
6. Whisk together rasberry jam and syrup. Divide between four slices of toast. Experience bliss.
