Sprouts and pear with some walnuts roasted in the oven.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Wash and trim brussels. Place in plastic bag with salt, pepper, garlic powder, chopped onion and olive oil. Mix well in bag. Spread on baking sheet with rounded sides up. Roast for 15 minutes. Add pears. Roast an additional 15-20 minutes. Mix in walnuts.
Optional - 1) warm balsamic vinegar and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Pour over brussels.
2) add a slice or two of cooked crumbled bacon
3) mix in some dried cranberries at the end
