Suggest a better descriptionBring a pot of water to a boil. In a skillet, heat oil. Melt butter into oil. Add shallots, garlic and thyme, season with salt and pepper. Cook until light caramel color. Salt boiling water, cook spaghetti to al dente, add kale for last 4 min. of cooking. Ladle out a cup of cooking water, add to shallot sauce. Drain spaghetti, return to pot. Add sauce, tossing.
