All the flavor without the campfire, these ooey gooey crispy treats are packed with fireside flavor. Toasty marshmallow, rich chocolate, and sweet graham crackers... it's like summer camp in your kitchen.
1. Grease an 8 x 8-inch pan and set aside.
2. In a large bowl, combine the rice cereals and 1 cup graham crackers and set aside.
3. Heat 3 tbsp butter in a large, wide pot over medium-low heat. Once melted, add in 12 oz marshmallows and stir constantly until melted.
4. Remove the pot from the heat and quickly stir in the cereal mixture. Fold in the mini marshmallows and pour the mixture into the prepared pan, pressing against the sides and using your hands to create an even surface. Allow to cool for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
5. Set aside 1 cup of the chopped chocolate, then melt the remaining chocolate in the microwave for 30-45 seconds, stirring every 15 seconds. Reserve 1/3 cup of the melted chocolate and set aside. Pour the remaining chocolate over the cooled krispie treats and place in the freezer for 10 minutes to set.
6. Melt 2 tbsp of butter in a large pot over medium-low heat. Add in 3 cups of mini marshmallows and stir until melted. Immediately pour the melted marshmallows over the chocolate layer on the crispie treats and then top with chopped graham crackers and chopped chocolate. Finish with a drizzle of the reserved melted chocolate and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
7. Let the krispie treats rest for 15-20 minutes before cutting. Serve and enjoy!
PROTIP: If you have a kitchen blow torch handy, you can torch the crispy treats lightly before drizzling with melted chocolate for an added flair.
