The recipe calls for strawberries and blackberries, but any berries will do! Fresh berries are a nice touch, but if you don't have any, frozen work just fine!
Assemble four cocktail glasses. Place strawberries, blackberries and sugar into a small food processor and puree until a jam-like consistency forms.
Place 6 mint leaves into the bottom of each glass. Divide the berry mixture and fresh lime juice between the four glasses. Muddle the berry mixture, mint and lime juice in each glass so that the mint gets broken up and mint flavor is released into the berries.
Fill each glass three-quarters full with crushed ice. Pour 2 ounces of rum into each glass over top of the ice. Top cocktails off with Ginger ale. Give drinks a stir and garnish with remaining mint leaves. Serve.
