This sweet and sour dish uses the natural sweetness of maple syrup, to produce a wonderful taste sensation.
Put large skillet onto medium heat. Add olive oil, onions, salt, and pepper. Cover, stirring occasionally. Cook until onions become translucent and soft.
Add the sausage to the onions and cover. Let the onions and sausage cook for about 10 minutes stirring occasionally.
After cooking the sausage and onions, add the flour and mix in thoroughly.
Add maple syrup and apple cider vinegar. Cook uncovered until sauce thickens up, stirring frequently.
