A thin whole wheat crust supplies fiber and keeps calories under control. You can make the dough, roll it out, and freeze it (wrapped tightly in plastic) for 1 month. Frozen crusts can go directly on the grill. This is a recipe from Prevention Magazine.
1. Stir together water, package active dry yeast, and sugar. Let stand until foamy about 10 minutes.
2. Stir in whole wheat and all purpose flour, olive oil and salt.
3. Knead dough on lightly floured surface until smooth, about 2 minutes.
4. Put in lightly oiled bowl. Cover bowl loosely in plastic wrap and let dough rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
5. Form dough into 4 balls. Roll out dough ball on very lightly floured surface until 1/8th inch thick (about 10 inch diameter).
6. Transfer to baking sheet lined with plastic wrap and cover tightly with another sheet of plastic. Repeat with remaining dough.
7. Freeze dough until firm (about 10 minutes) or ready to use.
