Suggest a better descriptionPreheat oven to 375 and line 15 x 10 jelly roll pan with parchment paper. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, & salt. In a large mixer bowl, beat together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, & vanilla extract. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts (if using). Spread batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 20 - 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool in pan on wire rack, cut into bars. (For a 9 x 9 " pan - Use 1/2 cups flour, 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1/4 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp sea salt, 1/2 cup butter softened, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, 1/2 cup packed brown sugar, 1 large egg, 1 tsp vanilla extract & 1 cup chocolate chips. Bake at 350 degrees.)
